What comes to mind when you think of the Silk Road? And what does it have to do with astronomy? This lecture will take you back to the ancient Silk Road to explore the exchange and interaction between ancient Indian and Chinese astronomy.

The speaker will use examples such as translated texts and calendars to explain calendrical calculations, imagery, and cosmological views in cross-cultural astronomy, and reveal how ancient people disseminated and transformed these concepts in East Asia. We believe this lecture will offer you fresh perspectives and inspiration.
